Boro boss Steve McClaren was full of praise for his side following the 5-1 destruction of Derby County at the weekend. In a game which brought back memories of the early Bryan Robson times at the Riverside, McClaren beamed "I am delighted with the performance, the attitude the players and the result. We played some great football and I can't complain."
"Everything came together, we looked solid as a team and caused them problems when we came forward. We had to be patient when it was 0-0 at half-time but we came out in the second half and scored some tremendous goals. "
"Consistency is what we are after and the fans will keep coming if we play like that every week. "
As for the Boro hero Carlos Marinelli, McClaren boasted
"I thought he was tremendous, he's got a lot of skills but what pleased me today was the end product. He made goals and he scored goals and you cannot ask more."
