Middlesbrough could be without star striker Alen Boksic as the Teesiders' face high flying Arsenal at Highbury.

Boksic is suffering from flu and is a major doubt ahead of the game. Boro boss Steve McClaren is desperate for Boksic to play. Boro have failed to score in their last four games, and need the Croatian to star performing.

While Boro have under performed, so has Boksic. However, with no other attacking options, Boksic will start, provided he is fit.

Noel Whelan is set for his second start in a row. The former Coventry man returned against Newcastle on Boxing day, and did well enough to deserve a second chance.
