Niall Quinn is set for his third start in a week ahead of Sunderland's clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Quinn has been hardly used by manager Peter Reid this season, but the big Irishman's return to the starting line-up has coincided with a return to form by the whole team.
Quinn struck twice against Blackburn on Boxing Day, and is bang in form ahead of the game.
Despite Ipswich's poor league position, the game will be a tough one for the Black Cats'. The Tractor Boys have also hit form, winning their last two games.
Sunderland (probable): Sorensen; Haas, Williams, Thome, Gray; McAteer, McCann, Reyna, Arca; Quinn, Phillips.
