Hartlepool boss Chris Turner was reasonably happy with his side's performance at Plymouth, even though Pools' lost the game and were sunk to the bottom place in Division 3.

He said: "I thought that we deserved something out of the game and I can't knock the players for their efforts." He added: "We came here to frustrate Plymouth and apart from the goal I thought it worked well.

"They are top of the league and playing with confidence but we held them, particularly in the second half. But the 4-5-1 system worked. The only time they had chances was when we gave daft balls away at the back."
