Boro have been strongly linked with Panathinaikos' 18-year-old Ghanaian international starlet Dereck Boateng. Boateng impressed Boro boss Steve McClaren during his time at Manchester United, where the Red Devils came up against him in the Champions League. Boro are believed to be very interested, although any move won’t come until the summer. McClaren only currently has around £6 Million to spend, and that will go on Muzzy Izzet if he can agree terms with the player later this week.
Boro enjoy a higher percentage of support from the heart of the local community than any other club in the Premier League according to a new survey. A staggering 91% stated that they took less than an hour to get to the Riverside.
Boro’s move for Muzzy Izzet took a step closer today when Leicester announced that they have accepted a £6 Million bid for the player. Talks will commence once Izzet and McClaren get back in the country later this week, following International commitments.
