Hartlepool manager Chris Turner today confirmed to the IC Teesside web site, that Darlington manager Tommy Taylor has mad an approach for Ian Clark.

Rumours had been rife since the weekend that a Quakers move for Clark was on the cards. A fee has already said to have been agreed and all that is left to sort out is the players personnel terms. No problems are expected and Clark will be ready to pull on a Black and White shirt by the weekend.

The news is expected to upset most of the faithful at Victoria Park. "Clarkie" as he is known in and around the club is a big fans favourite and Pools' supporters just can't understand why the club would want to let him go in the first place, never mind to allow him to join Darlo.
