Kevin Phillips's agent has quickly denied reports that the striker is set to leave Sunderland for a move to St James' Park.
Cheeky reports in one of the Sunday tabloids claimed Philips was set for a shock £12 Million move to bitter rivals Newcastle.
The player's agent John Smith today said "I can only reiterate the fact that there has been no discussions with regards to Kevin Phillips and the reports of a transfer to Newcastle United."
Smith went on to say Philips was still happy at Sunderland, and will see out his contract, which runs to 2005.
