Newcastle boss Bobby Robson has dismissed reports youngster Jamie McClen is set to move on, ensuring that he is a big part of his future plans.
Wolves, Man City and Preston are all said to be tracking McClen, but Robson believes the local lad has a big future on Tyneside.
"I have heard all the talk about Jamie moving on, but I don't want to sell him," he said.
"He has done brilliantly for us - he is a local lad and a neat little player and I don't want to lose him.
"Jamie has been unlucky because he has had Kieron Dyer, Gary Speed and Rob Lee in front of him - and now we have Jermaine Jenas.
"But he is putting up a great fight for us and was excellent against Vieira."
