Darlington boss Tommy Taylor has failed in an attempt to sign Michael Reddy before The Quakers' home game with Oxford United on Saturday.

Reddy has been tracked most of the season by former Darlo boss Gary Bennett and it seems Taylor will continue to peruse the player.

Reddy has already been on loan at Division 3 rivals Hull City, but has turned down the chance of a second month their. It is understood that he will only be willing to join another Third Division side on loan if its in the area, and this has alerted Taylor.

An agreement is already said to have taken place, but the Irishman's hamstring injury is holding things up. Once he recovers though, it seems he will be destined for Feethams.
