Michael Barron will make a timely return to first team action as Pools’ face Cheltenham at Victoria Park in the first leg of the play-off semi-final.

Fit again Barron will replace Paul Arnison at centre-back.

Mark Tinkler who has had an outstanding season also returns and will take his place in midfield, replacing James Coppinger who has returned to Newcastle after his loan spell.

Hartlepool will be looking to take at least a one goal lead to Cheltenham in the second leg on Tuesday. Tickets for this game are now on general sale, although they are selling very well.
