Sunderland boss Peter Reid will keep a close eye on England's game with Sweden this weekend. Black Cats' target Trevor Sinclair is all set to make his International debut in the game, although he is unlikely to start.
The former QPR man is seen as potentially someone who could play in England's problem position on the left of midfield. Sinclair is keen to leave Upton Park and would be delighted to join the Wearsiders', but both clubs are still some way apart on their valuation of the player.
Reid has already had two bids, both in the region of £6 Million turned down for the player, with the Hammers holding out for £10 Million. A figure which Reid will certainly not pay.
Another club said to be interested is local rivals Newcastle. Bobby Robson has more money at his disposal than Reid, but he too will not pay £10 Million. If West Ham want to offload the player, they will have to drop their asking price by at least £2 Million. Liverpool are also monitoring the situation.
