Sunderland boss Peter Reid is said to be targeting Blackburn’s highly rated youngster David Dunn.

Dunn who starred for the England U21 team against Holland last week is alerting a series of top Premiership clubs with his fantastic displays this season.

Many in the media have even called for Dunn to be called up to the senior England squad. It is believed that if he can continue his good form, he may well be England’s problematic left wing answer.

Dunn is a tough midfield man who can play in the middle or inside left. He has great dribbling skills and has been compared to a certain Gazza.

Dunn however would not come at all cheap. Blackburn are understandably unwilling to let such a young talent go, unless they can get very good money for him.
