Newcastle boss Bobby Robson yesterday had stern words with disgraced Kieron Dyer, Carl Cort, Craig Bellamy and Andy Griffin.
All four players missed a posh dinner for Newcastle hero Sir John Hall during last week's Spanish training camp. It was alleged that the players preferred to go drinking in Marbella instead at the same time.
It is understood that the players’ have all been fined two weeks wages and warned of their future conduct. Newcastle have refused to reveal what actually went on and as far as the club is concerned, the matter is now caused.
However if any of the players step out of line again, particularly bad boy Kieron Dyer, they could well find themselves on their way out of ST James’ Park.
