Sunderland manager Peter Reid could be ready to step up his interest in Rangers midfielder Claudio Reyna.
It is understood the Black Cat’s boss had a £3.5 Million bid turned down for the United States International last week.
"Claudio Reyna is a player I have still got an interest in." Reid admitted today. "And it has been made known to me that he wants to play in the Premier League."
Rangers are said to be unhappy about Sunderland’s interest. They are understood to want to keep onto Reyna for the rest of the season, although he may be allowed to leave at the end of it. With the season already well under way, Rangers feel finding a replacement will take time.
