Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren will have a full strength squad to choose from for the trip to Anfield, apart from Argentine Carlos Marinelli.

The youngster hobbled off in the dying moments of Boro’s 1-0 win at Blackburn last weekend, and is a major doubt.

Robbie Stockdale is fit again to return, and he is expected to replace Colin Cooper at right back. Frank Queudrue who was also doubtful for the match has been passed fully fit and will take his place on the left. The news is a big plus for McClaren ahead of the game. With his defence in great form at the moment, it is important he can field his first choice line up against what will be, formidable attacking opposition.
