Hartlepool boss Chris Turner admitted his side were poor after Pools’ went down 2-1 to Luton on Saturday.

Turner said "I've said many times this season that we will have our ups and downs, and this game proved it. We started well enough but then we went into a sloppy period that cost us the game."

In an unusual reaction to a game, Turner also signalled out his goalkeeper who he felt cost his side the first goal and criticised the defence

Our goalkeeper Tony Williams dropped a cross to give them their first goal, and then I was far from happy that we let Spring get the cross in for Taylor to score their second."
