Sunderland new boy Claudio Reyna may finally make his Black Cats’ debut as Sunderland make the trip to Southampton at the weekend.

Reyna missed last weeks draw with Leeds after being rushed through his transfer from Glasgow Rangers. However, the American captain is expected to recover in good time from his injury.

Another man who is likely to return is defender Jody Craddock, who has been out for the last two weeks. Craddock came through the reserves 2-0 win over Leeds in midweek, and is expected to start against the Saints.

Southampton will provide difficult opposition for the Black Cats’. Gordan Strachan’s men have got their season back on track and defeated Leicester 4-0 last week.
