Newcastle midfielder Kieron Dyer could finally make his first start for 9 months as Newcastle face Blackburn at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Dyer has been nursed back into first team action, first at Ipswich last weekend, and against Chelsea in midweek. Dyer came on as a substitute in the second half at Stamford Bridge and looked very sharp. If Laurent Robert again misses out due to his back injury, expect Dyer to start, replacing Olivier Bernard.
Apart from the left wing position, Bobby Robson is expected to keep faith with the same team that was so cruelly beaten by Chelsea on Wednesday.
